Overview
PLASTIKA KRITIS was established in 1970. It is one of the largest Greek plastics manufacturers and has a strong international orientation with exports to more than 50 countries around the world. It has been listed in the Athens Stock Exchange since May 1999.
The company manufactures geomembranes since 1992 and has supplied millions of square meters for a variety of applications in Greece and many other countries all over the world. Today it is recognized as an experienced and very competitive manufacturer with outstanding quality and reliable service.
In 2004, Shanghai HiTeC Plastics (PLASTIKA KRITIS' joint-venture in China) has started manufacturing geomembranes in a newly constructed facility able to make HDPE geomembranes at 7 m width and up to 2,5 mm thickness as well as very wide LDPE & EVA liners.
Apart from geomembranes, PLASTIKA KRITIS also manufactures agricultural films, masterbatches, polyethylene pipes, and recycled plastics. The company also owns and operates a 12 MW Wind Park in Crete for the production of electricity. Apart from its ecological importance and contribution to local economy, the wind park ensures, long-term, the most competitive cost of energy for the company's manufacturing activities.
