PLASTIKA KRITIS was established in 1970. It is one of the largest Greek plastics manufacturers and one of the leading European producers of agricultural films. It has a strong international orientation with affiliates in China, Romania, Poland & Turkey and exports to more than 50 countries around the world. It has been listed in the Athens Stock Exchange since May 1999.

The company manufactures agricultural films since 1970. Commitment to quality, technological innovation, cost competitiveness, flexibility and responsiveness to customers' requirements, have enabled PLASTIKA KRITIS to become one of the most well known agricultural film producers at  international level. The company's manufacturing facility in Iraklion - Crete is recognized as one of the most modern plants worldwide in this field.

In 2001 PLASTIKA KRITIS has established a joint-venture in China, Shanghai HiTeC Plastics, which manufactures 3-layer agricultural films and geomembranes in a newly constructed plant in Shanghai with an initial capacity of 14,000 MT/year.

Apart from agricultural films, PLASTIKA KRITIS also manufactures masterbatches, polyethylene pipes, geomembranes and recycled plastics. The company also owns and operates a 12 MW Wind Park in Crete for the production of electricity. Apart from its ecological importance and contribution to local economy, the wind park ensures, long-term, the most competitive cost of energy for the company's manufacturing activities.
